Honoring service, leadership, and achievement throughout AFSA Division 1
The AFSA Awards and Recognition Program celebrates individuals, teams, chapters, divisions, and community partners whose contributions strengthen AFSA, support the Total Air Force, and serve our communities.
Division 1 supports AFSA’s complete recognition program from annual competitive awards to special, Presidential, International, Recruiting, Retention, and Donor recognition.
How the Program Works
AFSA recognition is administered at the Chapter, Division, and International levels.
Many competitive awards begin with nominations at the Chapter level. Chapter nominees compete at Division, and eligible Division winners advance to AFSA International Headquarters for International consideration.
Other recognition programs follow different processes. Some are presented directly by Chapters or Divisions, while others are selected or administered by AFSA Headquarters. The page for each award will explain its correct eligibility, requirements, and nomination path.
Program Areas
Individual Awards
Recognizing leadership, professional achievement, AFSA involvement, legislative advocacy, volunteer service, and membership achievement.
Chapter/Division Awards
Recognizing outstanding performance by AFSA chapters and divisions in management, communications, membership, legislation, humanitarian service, and volunteerism.
Special Awards and Recognition
Recognizing service and achievement among military leaders, First Sergeants, Junior ROTC and Civil Air Patrol cadets, Scouts, and other deserving individuals.
International Awards
Honoring extraordinary heroism and exceptional contributions to the United States, the Total Air Force, and AFSA.
Presidential and Honorary Recognition
Recognizing extraordinary service, leadership, support, and achievement at the Chapter, Division, or International level.
Recruiting and Retention Recognition
Celebrating individuals and chapters that help AFSA grow by recruiting new members and retaining current members.
Donor Recognition
Recognizing individuals and AFSA organizations whose financial support strengthens the Association and its programs
