I served on Active Duty in the Air Force for 30 years as a C-5 and C-17 Loadmaster as well as ending my career as a Group Superintendent. I first got involved in AFSA in 2013 when I was elected as President of Chapter 201, I served in that role for two years. TSgt Charlie Offenbacker
4th Trustee Education and Training (2025-2026)
Since 2018, I have served as an active‑duty 2A Jet Shop maintainer, dedicated to supporting the mission and the Airmen who make it possible. I became an AFSA member in 2021 with Charleston Chapter 306, where I quickly stepped into service as the chapter’s Vice President. During my 2023 deployment to Al Udeid, I continued my commitment by serving on the Executive Council as the Ways and Means Chair. Afterward, I had the honor of serving as President of Chapter 1660 at Incirlik Air Base, strengthening advocacy and engagement across the installation. Now back stateside, I proudly serve with Chapter 109 at Westover ARB in Massachusetts. Being part of AFSA has shown me firsthand how powerful it is to belong to an organization that delivers tangible results for Airmen and their families. It is deeply rewarding to contribute to a team that consistently advocates, supports, and improves the quality of life for those who serve. AFSA’s impact reminds me daily why this work matters and why I remain committed to advancing its mission.

I have been on active duty since 2023, serving as a Systems Operations Technician. I first became involved with AFSA in 2024 as the Airman Activities Coordinator for Chapter 751. I later transitioned into the role of Legislative Trustee for Chapter 751. I am also proud to serve on AFSA’s International Communications Committee, helping connect, inform, and elevate the work of chapters across the association. I am honored to now serve as the Division 1 Communications Trustee and look forward to continuing to support our Airmen, families, and mission with integrity, purpose, and enthusiasm.

SMSgt (Ret.) David "Bones" McCoy

After entering the Air Force in 1990 and becoming a Medical Services Technician, I joined AFSA at my first duty station, Yokota AB, Japan in the early 90s. While there, I flew Aeromedical Evacuation missions and received the call sign “Bones,” which has stuck with me ever since. Later, becoming very active with AFSA, I also became a Lifetime member. I have served in a multitude of roles, including as Chapter President of 1550, 1330, and 751, as well as Trustee of the pre-merger Division 7 and then Division 1, and as Division 1 VP, President, and Senior Advisor, as well as the immediate Past International Vice President and current International Membership Committee Chair. I retired from Active Duty after 26 years and it is my honor to continue to serve!
